Jewish Cemetery in Prague
May 2005

I made this visit alone, as Mr.Duncan headed for a snack with Maddy. I, strangely, like to visit cemeteries, though only on bright sunny days; this cemetery with it's layers upon layers of headstones was a sobering, somber experience for me -- as was the entire Jewish Museum there.

I am also a fan of cemetaries. Perhaps it is a Louisiana thing? Hoping we can make it to Prague. Several people have mentioned the museum and cemetary to us.

Cemetaries always interest me, too. I'm not sure why. I think there's a peacefulness to them that's somehow reassuring, if that makes sense. Anyway, we visited the Jewish Cemetery while we were in Prague a few weeks ago and it was incredible...sobering and somber, just as you said.

I love looking at the names on the graves and seeing what was inscripted.
