I spotted this bag in the market in Florence Wednesday.
Cool. Don't you think?
I think it even cooler that I was able to hop a train to Florence for a day of shopping with the girls. I didn't even see the inside of a single church.

I'm not sure, but I think I'm closer to Florence than you are, but it takes me about 6 hrs to get there (change trains in Genova and then in Pisa, and sometimes in Savona too!). It would be a long day trip for me! Hope you get to go on a trip with the girls soon again!
We made it in under three hours by Eurostar from Padova via Bologna -- not many stops along the way. And the ride was nice too, with just women (and one nursing infant) talking nonstop.
Oh ... that owl/bag is so beatiful. Must have been a wonderful day :-)

Had the bag been smaller, I may have considered purchasing it. It was HUGE.
