We took advantage of the three day weekend with a field trip to Tuscany. . . camping under marvelous umbrella pines with a group of friends.
The tents dotted the campground on this glorious weekend. (Writing about weather is lame, I know, but it was so perfect that I'd be remiss not to mention it.)
The chance to just hang out, for big folks & little folks alike, is what makes these times so coveted for us.
Maddy & Miss J enjoyed a few times at bat. I was shocked with the enthusiasm, considering the recent progress (or lack thereof) she is making with t-ball.
We also celebrated the newest little life who will soon be joining the group. Her arrival is expected in about a month or so. The girls were eager to help and to enjoy the appropriately pink cupcakes afterward.Wait one minute. . .
You didn't think that we actually camped in a tent, did you? Granted, these folks had some fancy tents. . . I heard the word "Taj Mahal" used in reference to one of them. . . but we were in the cabin with electricity and plumbing and ac and satellite tv. Mr. Duncan will only go so far, folks.

looks perfect!:)
When I saw the camping pictures, I was in shock! I couldn't believe that you were camping. Camping is great and all, just not for me. Glad you were comfortable.

Yep, Dana, that's what it is. I'm not much of a camper, but those friends of mine that are agreed that they would opt for Italian campgrounds next time . . . and evidently they often have cabins there as well. News to me. Good news.
On our road trip through Florence/Pisa, Michael and I tried to book a reservation there. It was full, as well as the hotel.
I'm reading your post, all the while thinking, "I wish I could tough it out and camp in a tent... " Yep, the cabin is more my style! :)
