2004The birthday celebration started yesterday with a bit of dolce shared with classmates at the asilo and continues today with sprinkle-covered pink cupcakes shared with t-ball teammates. The real celebration will be Sunday when Dad finally returns -- a Fancy Nancy, Pinkalicious tea party is planned. Can't wait.

You know, an Italian neighbor said the same thing to me -- congratulations on the birth, on being the mother of this beautiful child who is celebrating her birthday. I like that, a lot. I'm pretty sure I'll start extending this message to friends as we celebrate birthdays of their little ones.
