Saturday we did purchase some tickets at the Pesca di Beneficenza - --
Of all the exciting prizes, we walked home with a plastic flower pot & a plastic storage bin.We also caught some of the entertainment -- a show put on by a local dance studio.
There were a variety of group performers,
as well as a couple of solo acts. The kiddos seemed to like it, a lot.If you decide to visit this weekend, I recommend the
lasagne e bisi -- which is actually more like what we know as fettuccine. Strange, that dialect. The art show in the old church across from the pizzeria, only one in town, is worth a look. Also -- go early. We walked down Sunday at about 7:30 and found the line to be about an hour's wait. We opted for the pizzeria -- where they are also serving up the famous peas, by the way.Next weekend there is a sagra in Castegnero -- the next town over. See you there?
