The neighbors, I mean the real local folks of Lumignano, found the blog. I didn't even think any of them had a computer. (Truthfully, they don't. Someone's daughter, no longer living in our little paese, stumbled upon Ferruccio and his chickens.) I tried to explain the concept of blog to them. . . . I don't think they quite got it. They had a print out of the recent post about the baby chicks and seemed quite pleased with it.

I hope that this is a good thing.

Hmm, that's interesting: the blogging boomerang effect - once it's out there, it many eventually come back and hit us. We probably assume that our blogs will be read by people far away and don't really expect to have readers nearby, but it's out of our control. It's interesting how people react to it. Did they come knocking at your front door with the print out?
PS I also blog knowing that my neighbors won't be among my readers (my family and friends aren't either, mainly because of laziness in their case).

Well, I think they can be proud of you. You portrayed Lumignano beautiful and I for one would love to become a neighbour.
