Carnevale Costumes

Carnevale in my corner of the world means confetti & silly string . . . and lots of it! It seems to be available just about anywhere, from the market stalls to the bigger stores.


The children's costumes are pretty incredible. These two Indians did have a cowboy in their entourage. Many Italians that I've met love cowboys and Indians. (No. . . not Native Americans, Indians.)




Madelyn has chosen Sleeping Beauty for her Carnevale costume. (Yes! It happens to be one already included in her dress-up repertoire.)


Children gather in the piazzas to throw confetti at one another and chase each other with silly string.



We hope to get Maddy in on the action this weekend.


I've taken a look in my photo archives for a couple of pics of Carnevale past only to discover that a chunk of time is missing from my chronological archives. That's not a good feeling.
