At this moment our school is participating in a drill – I suppose a terrorist attack drill. Our job – “take roll, stay put and keep order.” I’ve had 62 teachers and students in the library as we wait out the drill. I believe that bigger and better mock attack activities are happening nearby outside of the school. Meanwhile, in the library we’ve just finished movie #1.
As I child, I remember participating in drills {tornado, maybe} which required us to hide under our little desks. Then, after the Columbine incident, we started “lock down” drills in schools in order to prepare for the deranged gunman. Now we are preparing for terrorists and chemicals and even have precut Visqueen and Duct tape to cover windows and doors.
Is change always good?
