Not what we ordered -- but beautiful

A couple of weeks ago Richard received a call from the wood floor place: the wrong flooring was delivered, but it was of a higher quality. They wanted to confirm that this is acceptable, and since it was the manufacturer's mistake, the price would remain the same.

We saw it today. LOVE IT!

The wood is Doussie from Atlas.
The planks are about 3 feet long and honey-colored. (The color appears a little lighter than reality in the photo.)

It is installed only in the "zona notte," essentially the bedrooms. It is 10 x 90 x 900 (mm) - which translates roughly to .39 (thick) x 3.54 (wide) x 35.4 (long) inches.
And these are the 2.3 foot planks that we originally ordered. It is visibly darker and smaller: .39 x 2.76 x 27.6.I think that we really lucked out with this. I really like the color and fear the color that we originally selected would have been too dark.

A few of the interior doors are up as well. I love them. Pretty much solid wood. This is my favorite "upgrade" that we selected. Just the handles alone make me happy :)

Lucked out with the wood, I'd say. Beautiful.
