The Tax Story Unraveled (sort of)

The 10% tax for foreigner's is not new. It is new to us. It is essentially designed to tax the wealthy foreigner's who buy second homes in Italy. Obviously, this is not us. We have a colleague in another city who is challenging the law and may just be succesful; in fact the first ruling was in her favor but has been appealed. (Not that it means much to our fate) We are hearing different versions of exactly what is taxed -- Richard has a call in with a notaio to get it "straight from the horse's mouth."
