We spent the 4th of July in our nation's capitol where we watched a parade that celebrated the diversity of America. It was an unexpected treat to be able to revel in this diversity on one of our first days back; it's the one thing we both miss the most about living in the USofA: diversity.

While we've chosen to live outside of America, have no doubt about it: we love our country.
God Bless the USA____________
Summer Sunday?
Wow.
We've just come down from a super-busy summer, and while I've tried to blog it a bit, I haven't had a chance to share many of the images, the hundreds of images I captured. I blog to share images, often to tell stories through images. I'm starting my own series: Summer Sunday; it may run short, may run long....may be regular, may be sporadic. So, if you stop by for a Sunday visit, be prepared.

...I couldn't agree more. Well said!
I don't know what to write, except that I know what you mean. When I'm in the US, what I notice is the diversity, and the lively and creative ferment that stems from it.
Yes, moving to DC has been wonderful. Our neighbors are French, the kids at the park are from all over, and oh... but the restaurants. I love, love, love Italy, but the food options in DC go on and on and on (and I'm not just talking Doner Kebab!). - K
It is a beautiful thing. I appreciate this country more and more as I get older.
"diversity"... i hear ya!
