Down here in the south we call these "Graffe," though. (Or Ciambelle, but that's generic for any round fried or baked pastry with a hole, though - the sugar and being fried makes it a "graffa")

You made donuts! How clever! I pigged out on donuts while in the States, but never have time to do things like that here.
