summer sunday: charleston, sc

Our road trip north on the East Coast included a brief stop in Charleston, South Carolina.

This marked a first visit to Charleston for each of us. We enjoyed our brief visit immensely and would like to return for a longer stay someday; however, I'm not so sure that I could ever stay too long or settle there . . . because while I am indeed Southern, I am not that Southern.

Summer Sunday?
Wow.
We've just come down from a super-busy summer, and while I've tried to blog it a bit, I haven't had a chance to share many of the images, the hundreds of images I captured. I blog to share images, often to tell stories through images. I'm starting my own series: Summer Sunday; it may run short, may run long....may be regular, may be sporadic. So, if you stop by for a Sunday visit, be prepared.

Wow. I always heard good things about Charleston and this backs it all up. Shots 3 & 4 almost look European!

I agree with Peter above, many images look quite European - Southern European:)

I never thought of the European feel -- but I suppose it does look a bit European OR maybe it's my filter of Charleston. I don't know...

Have a great day, either way!

I love that city! I am dying to tast Jestines cooking. Didn't have a chance the last time I was there. She wasn't open.
