corner view / italy

corner view: white

For this week's theme, I headed to the local Aliper in search of things white within its walls.  Some of what I found:

Finocchi

Seppie

Polenta Bianca

Aglio

Vino Bianco

I've had a taste of each of these at one time or another, except for the white polenta . . . probably just tastes like grits, don't you think?

See you next week!

I've never seen polenta bianca, or polenta wrapped in plastic, or an Aliper, come to think of it ... hope you enjoyed your dinner!

I love all the white things you found. I, like you, have tasted all of them except the polenta bianca !

Lu.

AaaaK!!! - what is the second one... squid? Fascinating, but I think I like it's look better when it's been breaded and fried. Fantastic shots! Thank you.

Luisa,
Sure we know polenta; it's my daughter's favorite food. I've just never seen white polenta, that's all. I'm certain it's as common as apples.
Grits is an American food, found mostly in the South. Hard to explain exactly . . .but it's made from corn, come polenta.

Hi everyone! Glad to see you all making Wednesday visits. I'll be around before next Wednesday.

Ciao,
Dana

oooh, very good corner view! if i lived in southern germany I'd have to do 'white sausage' for a food. here in central Germany I suppose white breakfast rolls would do the trick =)

Hmmm I haven't had white polenta but I'm guessing you are right.

I have white corn flour / polenta and I use it to make arepas (southamerican cornbread that is baked on the barbeque or on the frying pan). I really like that :-)

Nice selection of white items!
