Finally.
We are home and sleeping in our cozy bed :)
For those of you who are wishing you were spending your summer days in Italy instead of where you might be, I have two words for you: Central AC.
It's just hot. Hot. Hot. Hot.
We have a couple of small air conditioning units that actually work very well; however, they don't compare to central air conditioning, and each time we turn them on I can feel the Euro's being sucked out of our bank account because of the high energy costs.
I run them nonstop anyway.
Wouldn't you?

Glad you made it safely back! Personally, I dislike AC, you know me, as an Italian, I'm a canottiera kind of gal:)! And, if you had central AC, you'd just sit indoors and never get over jet lag! Have a great weekend.
You know that the irony is that while we were in the US, the central AC was too much for us . . . Maddy, especially, just couldn't take it. We carried a little jacket for her everywhere we went; she used it daily.
The jet lag is tough.
I feel your pain. Right now it is unusually hot in Germany, and I was so tempted yesterday to ask the grocery store manager if I could bring one of our camping chairs and just sit somewhere in the corner out of everyone's way.
My husband always takes a fleece jacket when we travel home for the summer. He says my parents keep their home like a meat locker. I too have become more sensitive, but today I am dreaming of AC. Good luck with jet lag, I know it is not fun.
