I have mountains of prezzemolo (parsley). What am I supposed to do with all of this? The rucola is also growing like a weed! A few months ago one of my neighbors was delighted to tell me that it is a weed and can be found growing wild along many of the paths. Why would I plant it, he wondered? Now I wonder the same.)

Mr. Duncan couldn't wait to make this bruschetta with bread from Napoli (yep, brought up by our supplier), pomodorini from our garden, and basilico from our window box.
This is how he does it; I've tried many a bruschetta, and this is by far the best, or at least my favorite:
toast bread on grill
rub warm bread with garlic
cover with fresh cherry tomatoes
add fresh basil
drizzle with extra virgin olive oil
salt to taste
Buonissima ogni volta!

Rucola grows fast, and goes to seed very fast too: enjoy it now! On the other hand, parsley is a yearly plant, no need to rush using it up.
Buon appetito!
Beautiful harvest and thanks for sharing the bruschetta recipe...can't wait to get my hands in the dirt over there.
It's pretty amazing. . . things just grow and grow and grow with little effort and I haven't had a bug on a plant, except for one rose bush. Not sure how that is possible? The rose bush in question blooms just the same.
I wish I could grow some vegetables. They look beautiful.

That bruschetta looks delicious! I haven't had any yet this year, and now I want some.
