Our Easter Part 2: The Turkeys

Yes. . .we had an Easter turkey, or two, to be exact. I would have preferred to have boiled crawfish; however, there is just a bit of a supply issue here. Mr. Duncan & Friendly Neighbor Guy decided that is was high time to fry up a turkey; neither is from LA, but that did not deter them.

Mr. Duncan mixed up a concoction to inject into the bird before frying. I missed the injection photo. Sorry.

The bird was lowered into a pot of a boiling peanut oil mixture.

And there it fried & fried. . .for over an hour.

Yum. Bird #2 then entered the pot & the madness began again.

Of course, there were other varieties of turkey present at our little Easter celebration:

3 Girly Turkeys in Their Easter Finest

An Italian Turkey
Il Tacchino Italiano

The Littlest Turkey
(Don't you just want to eat him up? I mean really. . . forget about that tacchino fritto. This little guy is just as scrumptous in person. )
