Contrasts

i contrasti

When we passed this make-shift fence during a recent walk in Lumignano, it brought to mind Robert Frost's poem "Mending Wall," in which Frost ponders the purposes of fences. This fence surrounding a vegetable garden on the hillside nearby is clearly there to keep folks out. No doubt. With so many hikers and climbers and bikers and campers in these parts, can you really blame them?

This scene caught my eye, as do many things in Italia, because of the contrasts.

I hope to be on the flowery side of the contrast ...:)
