Happy St. Patrick's Day

I don't even really know if Italians celebrate St. Patrick's Day; I'd doubt that the folks walk around in verde to avoid the pinches of the over-zealous holiday observers or if they drink pints of green ale.

Maddy and I will celebrate with these cookies.

Mr. Duncan is yet again in a foreign land. . . to his dismay it is unfortunately not Ireland. He'll miss an important day on the Italian calendar as well, the upcoming St. Joseph's Day (March 19). A little birdy told me that she is creating something special at school for her dad for Father's Day, which is celebrated on St. Joseph's Day or La Festa di San Giuseppe here in Italy.

Man, those cookies look good! I may have to pick up some M&Ms at the NEX this afternoon and make my own version ;)

Those cookies do look great! It's hard when the Italian Father's Day falls on a weekday. My husband is always away but I enjoy being the "stand-in" at school for the lovely gifts they create! We usually then celebrate again during the weekend.

I know how much you loooovvveeee Ravello. Promise you'll toast us with at least ONE of the glasses of Taurasi you'll enjoy. We really do need to get back down South again soon for an extended stay, but we are pretty much scheduled solid until August.
