Irony

A conversation out of the blue:

Maddy: Momma, you know Nanny is a doctor? {Nanny is my sister, her Godmother.}
Me: That's right honey. {She's a PA, but that's close enough for four.}
Maddy: She helps people when they are sick. She makes them better, Momma.

Moment of reflection. . . .

Me: Do you think that you might want to be a doctor some day?
Maddy: No way. I'm too shy with the people.
Me: I see. So what might you want to be when you grow up?
Maddy: A Doodle Bop. The pink one. I already told you that.
