Il Pane

Mr. Duncan misses quite a bit about the South -- especially the regional food, especially the bread.

Oooooh. The bread.

A friend recently shared a recipe for Pugliese Bread, which very, very, very closely recreates the bread we remember from our days in Pozzuoli. The recipe is not for the faint of heart, as it requires several steps that span a couple of days.

That man has become a bread-baking monster, even sharing loaves with neighbors.

As for me, I deem the bread good for one thing -- not much else can compare to this bread slathered with nutella.
Try it. You won't be sorry.

PS. I'd be happy to pass the recipe along to you if you are interested.
