It has quite the medieval castle: Castello dei Carraresi; the castle and it's walls are well-preserved and particularly impressive.
I don't think that Este is on the foreign tourist route.
It is a lovely little town.
The grounds of the castle have been transformed into a public park.
Visiting on a sunny, almost-warm February day was nice; seeing lots of green vegetation was really nice.
Don't be fooled. Spring is not just around the corner. We are, however, finally seeing more of the glorious sun.
