SAT Vocabulary Advantage

Maddy: Momma, what do dinosaurs eat?

And thus began the "teachable moment," as we educators like to say.

Carnivores eat meat, like carne in Italiano.
Herbivores eat plants or grass, like erbe in Italiano.

I think she made the connection, proving that our efforts and insistence that she learn Italian are not in vain, and she is indeed gaining a decided advantage on the vocabulary section of the SAT.

In our line of business, my friends, it's all about those test scores.
