Don't laugh.
Relieved from the pressure of selecting the
Perfect Gift,
Santa happily obliged and delivered this beautiful machine directly to me.
On time.

It sat covered for nearly a year.
(Santa never mentioned that fact to me. Good Santa.)
I've recently been
Inspired.
My first project is complete.
Far, far, far, far from perfection --
but a-okay for now.

If you consider that I was attempting to create this dolly . . .
well, the issues are clear.
However, I find it quite impressive that I was even able to select fabric --
and the wig, oh the wig.
At the end I lost the pattern and just sewed the little dress.
It's a mess.
Maddy, nonetheless, loves little Sara.
My bright idea of creating several of
these little dolls
for Maddy's classmates and friends --
Forget it!
My neighbor Young Signora M has "studied" sewing,
so I think that I'll be hitting her up for some lessons
after the holidays.
Speriamo. (We hope so.)

I, for one, would have LOVED an imperfectly perfect doll like that when I was little. That way no one else would have had one like her. She's beautiful; awesome job!
I'm impressed! You actually sewed. You're way more ambitious than I am. I looked at your model doll. The model was fifteen dollars. I bet you spent way more than fifteen dollars on your doll. Funny how that works, isn't it. One year I sewed Wallace some pj pants. It was a lot more than to buy some at the store. Then again, it's not about the money. Scrap book pages, hand towels, dolls, what is next?

You are both so kind.
Thanks!
It was really, really bad.
