I've got a new one for you, I bet.
Rug Party.
I swear I don't make this stuff up, folks.

My friends M&T host a rug party two or three times a year.
A friendly Turkish vendor travels with his loaded van to their home direct from his homeland for the purpose of selling rugs.

Beautiful, Turkish, wool, silk, prayer, small, Russian, runner, large, antique, red, yellow, brown.
Lots and lots of rugs.
(I did get my {gaudy} Muslim prayer rug from them last year.)
I attended the most recent rug party with another good friend.
She bought two. I was tempted, but I left empty-handed . . .
this time.
There were at least 35 people there throughout the rug showings.
No kidding.
This is a tough crowd to please. Most of them have either been to Turkey or lived in Bahrain, or, of course, have been to Iraq and/or Afghanistan, or somewhere near those places.
They know rugs.
They collect rugs.

The prices at this party ranged from 200 to 2000 Euro.
Clearly. . .not your average Tupperware party.
