Yes, even though we live in Italy, we still have American high school football . . .

. . .with news crews out getting footage

. . . and, of course, what is football without cheerleaders.

There are bleachers behind us, but we opt to bring our seats. No, we really can't see much. It's really just a social thing for this group.

Even little "Baccio" gets to come along.

When I first got here I couldn't believe that this existed. It still blows my mind. And, it doesn't stop there. There is volleyball (boys and girls), tennis, cross country, track, basketball, wrestling and, new for this year, baseball and softball. The kids travel (across Europe in some cases) for meets, games, and matches. Teachers accompany them -- sleep on gym floors. It's pretty unbelievable.
