Our neighbors recently took a trip to Hungary (to run a marathon or half marathon . . . or something like that) and were kind enough to bring a taste of Hungary back to us. The Unicum, made by the company Zwack, is an oak- aged, herbal "digestivo" . . . after dinner drink. It tastes a bit like something appropriate for a flask hidden in unmentionable places to be smuggled into a college football game, with a hint of grass. No mixers needed. (I know, I know. . .broaden my horizons. Trust me, I will enjoy many sips of this herbal elixir.)
The salami is a mildly spicy Hungarian variety. Yum.
Again, I am reminded of our blessings. Life is good.
