Shed Some Light on this Ficus

It seems as though we spend A LOT of our free time on lights. Looking for lights, arguing over lights, installing lights, turning lights off and on. . . .lots and lots of lights. Some clearly prettier than others. Do you know that we have a switch in the garage that will turn off every light in the house? And one in our room that will turn off all the lights on the two floors below. . . cool.

This is our room. Pretty bare. We did get the beautiful chandelier up this weekend; it's another gem from Luciana. She tells me that it is from "Bohemia" circa 1930's.

This one is my favorite -- another from Luciana that I actually received as a Christmas gift from my good friend Debra. It is currently hanging in the big bathroom

This is lovely track lighting from the local home improvement store.

The living / dining room has three ceiling lights. Ceiling fans are not exactly my favorite, but considering the lack of central air here. . . they are wise. We put this light up until we can find an appropriate ceiling fan.

And the giant ficus comes from Dorina, who says that the tree has outgrown her space. Carlo, her husband, says that this tree is 30 years old. The pressure. I had no idea it would be so dang big. Not sure how we'll ultimately handle this.

I hope to soon be at a place that the focus can switch to something other than lights.
