I think we have the kitchen design pretty much settled. I'll try to post some pictures of the design soon. The countertop and backsplash will be in a material called "porfido." I don't even know if it has a different name in English. Actually, I don't know much about it other than it is mostly used to create cobblestone walks here in Italy. We asked for something durable and resistant to stain. We got porfido. We like it. What do you think?
