Tiles

Tuesday we went to the tile store, again. We went to get the final bill for the upgrades that we made. The most significant is to tile the front "yard," thus making a patio. Two things came up during our visit to the store: Matching tile colors with the neighbors will be difficult (at best) because we selected colors on the opposite end of the spectrum for the entryway / walkway in the front. We chose a terra cotta color and they selected white -- I hate white. Mark my words -- I will not have white. The tile guy suggested a mix of the two with a pattern - we'll see. Secondly, the tile guy wants to cover the stairs from the taverna to the first floor with tile, and, of course, to get it the way we want it. . . it will cost some extra money. The contract says stairs in the house are in wood. We called Ghiotto while we were there, and he said he would have to get back to us. These types of details are frustrating.
