We selected an Olivari handle called Siena; it will be in the "anticato" finish (the third option in the photo.) I had no idea that there were so many choices, such an industry in door handles. I selected basically the only one I liked of all the many choices in the showroom. I think that it is made of brass with an antique bronze finish -- some of these details got lost in the conversation. Once home, I searched the Internet to find the brand, and low and behold -- it's a designer door handle designed by architects Nicola Novelletto and Roberto Volonterio. (Don't ask -- I don't know their fame.) That probably explains the price that we will pay for this simple piece of hardware. It will go on each window and door in the house.
The interior doors will be white paneled doors. They feel solid. We like that. We are paying dearly for this as well.
