The rocky cliffs of Lumignano are world renown for rock climbing. We can see the climbers from our house. A good friend who frequently climbs in Lumignano assures me that rock climbing is a relatively safe sport with the proper gear. In the past month an experienced, expert-level Italian climber fell to his death. Apparently his safety gear failed. I hope that we don't bear witness to such a dreadful event. There are also lots of good hikes in the area. I think that we'll stick to the trails.
Not much progress on the house -- we expect it to pick up soon now that the summer is just about over.
