Everywhere I turn, I see purple . . . it's purple, purple, purple. Purple hats, purple jackets, purple pillows, purple underwear, purple jewelry, purple gloves, purple dinosaurs, purple boots. I walked into a children's store in Southern Italy in October that offered nothing, I mean NOTHING, but purple (with a smidgen of silver or black) clothing. Niente. I feel like I'm tailgating in Baton Rouge, for goodness sake.
I don't remember other colors ever coming on so strong. Perhaps there is some love affair with purple that I am not yet aware of? Clearly, though, to be considered fashionable this season, one MUST wear the purple.
Maybe I can get away with wearing my purple LSU cap this season. . . . . . not likely!
Geaux Tigers!

I love purple, so this is great to hear. Orange has been plentiful lately also (in the midwest - St. Louis)
I just spent the last 40 minutes reading your blog. It's compelling and beautiful.
I grew up in Germany, and miss Europe loads. So for a little while, You kinda brought me home.
Thank you.
This is good news for me since my daughter keeps asking (and asking and asking) for a purple coat. I've never been able to find a cute one but maybe the purple craze will trickle down to us one of these days and we'll have some luck. Thanks for the heads up!
I noticed the purple craze in Italy this spring before we left. LOVE Maddy's hat!
I like purple and thankfully it is a good color for me with my blue eyes.
What, you don't like viola:)?
I know what you mean, but as someone who even named her cat viola (aftern the purple cat in Carle's book, actually), I'm thrilled that it's finally fashionable even in Italy to wear it, as it used to be associated with death and funerals.
