will work for wine

Mr. Duncan absolutely, undoubtedly, unequivocally, assuredly, positively, unquestionably, despises IKEA -- the design, the quality, the walk-through experience, the crowds, the little Sweedish meatballs. . . but above all else, the assembly.

I convinced him that this unit from IKEA would be perfect for his little cantina beneath the stairs.  He, not having found a suitable alternative in 15 months, reluctantly agreed, and then put the entire contraption together all by himself (better for our marriage that way).

He will work for wine.

PS.  I don't mind it, IKEA, so much. My favorites there are the napkins and candles.

I love Ikea, and I love their graphic instructions for the analphabet and unskilled alike (and I always feel I'm both when assemblying an ikea item)

I agree most things are ok at Ikea like the candles, napkins, and glass where, but the furniture is sometimes questionable.

Dana, yah, I don't know about the Italien neighbors and peanut butter. My sister-in-law who is German will not even try a Smore. She doesn't know what she is missing, but maybe the children would enjoy these cookies. For more cute Halloween ideas go to my October 2008 Goblins and Hotdogs mummmies.

Hi. I came from spain daily.

Ikea, Ikea, Ikea. Everything Ikea. Like it or not, it just have what you need when you can't find it anywhere else.

I'd like to hang out for a while, if you don't mind :)

It took me some time to warm up to IKEA, but then again, my husband had first taken me there with the idea that we would furnish the whole house with it. A good compromise was that I brought my furniture with me (big, comfy, and American) and IKEA furnishes places like my office and the basement... We have the same shelves planned for our basement. (minus the wine shelves) But I must say that sometimes we drive there just for a hot dog for dinner... quick, yummy, and cheap.

i love ikea-online! unfortunately, when i have to go there i almost break out in hives. i'm with your man on this one.

but on the other hand, they always have the things that you couldn't possibly get anywhere else for that price.

as we say here in america: nice rack!

Oh no! I had to go to Ikea this weekend. I'm turning a desk I found in the alley into a play kitchen for my daughter and discovered Ikea had good kitchen kid stuff...anyway, back to my point, I hate Ikea!! Even though I did get some stuff I'm not sure it was worth the pain of the experience. I always thought it was just the Naples Ikea but no, apparently an Ikea anywhere can cause an anxiety attack: all those people, breakables (a wine glass display in the middle of the aisle?! ack!!) and 2 kids under 5 do not mix!! Plus, I always feel like I'm stuck in that song "I'm all lost in supermarket" with no way out! Phew, with that said, the wine shelves do look nice ;)
