Oggi Sposi (Just Married) signs that include a picture of the lucky couple with the date of the wedding are quite common in our area. They are posted along the route to the church or reception restaurant and/or in the neighborhood of the soon to be newlyweds or their parents. This summer was the wedding of Elena & Luca, one of whom must live nearby as the signs dotted Via Villa one morning.

That is funny! In Germany when you get married they do all this crazy stuff such as kidnap the bride and the groom has to come find her. Break dishes on the lawn.
