How is it going, you ask?
Today a colonel addressed the combined faculties. Among other things, he told us to expect nearly all of our students to have at least one parent "in harm's way" at some point this school year. (Of course, this excludes civilians, but we don't have many.)
That is how it is going. That is how it will be.
This somber fact trumps all the other back-to-school frenzy for me.

I have two cousins over there. The first is in Quatar which means she isn't in any real danger and then her husband will be going to Afghanastan ?sp in January.
