7:45 pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday (totally out of my regular-life routine)

7:45 pm Friday

Each summer we eat oyster after oyster after oyster. This night was my "until we meet again" evening with the Gulf Coast oysters until next summer. These were absolutely HUGE, and just a bit of a disappointment as I prefer them a bit smaller. At any rate, I've never been able to find a restaurant in Italy that will happily serve up a dozen raw with the horseradish and ketchup to make the sauce and a basket of saltines, so each summer I indulge.
At 7:45 pm Saturday I was in a Walmart (i hate them as much as you do) outside of Orlando buying an umbrella stroller for my five year old. Yes, you read that correctly. Don't judge.
7:45 pm Sunday

Dumbo, Maddy, and me. Yes. We are having a very good time, to include Mr. Duncan who wasn't exactly sold on this part of our summer vacation. He's a convert. We'll be back.

Even though I have a love/hate relationship with Wal-mart, I have to admit that I really miss the giant superstore. When I first moved to Germany there was a Wal-Mart here, but they surprisingly had to pull out their German stores because they simply could not compete on price... go figure. Hope you enjoy (enjoyed) your sunny Florida weather.

you look like you are having a blast! dumbo reminds me of our trip to dl paris and how i wouldn´t let sara go high on the dumbo ride because i´m afraid of heights... she still reminds of this... besos!

giggle giggle. believe me, i'm not one to judge-especially when it comes to getting your 5 year old through what must have been a very hot and crowded theme park. she looks like she's loving the dumbo ride (so do you for that matter).

walmart is very un-fun, but man do they have almost everything. it remains exotic to me since nyc doesn't have any. when we visit the 'burbs, we always swing by target (my preferred big big store) and stock up on the things that we cannot get anywhere else.
