I just can't stop

I just can't stop taking pictures like these.

I know I should. I know that my images are the level of a hobbyist with issues of focus & light & detail & contrast. I know that there a million images of flowers out there, millions better than these. Really. I know.

I think it's living outside of the city and feeling connected to the land. I think it's the long awaited onset of spring. I think it's that I put my hands in the dirt to plant these. I think (know) my sister is smiling, shaking her head & calling me an uber dork as she reads this rambling.

Maybe I should get a macro lens -- then I could at least have an excuse to continue. Maybe then I could get some great shots for her almost-completed, new, old house. . . because 4000 sq ft of house means lots of wall space. I'd be delighted to help her fill it.

I just can't stop
feeling proud & joyful as I think of her blessings.

I'm doing just the same: can't stop taking photos of all the newness and color of spring, after a long and cold winter.
PS Why do I get a sense that the 4000 sq ft house is not in this country?

I love you! Thanks for being so happy for us. Often, your blog makes my day. By the way, I don't think you're an uber dork. I love the fact that you're doing something you absolutely love with that camera of yours. I'd be proud to hang your photography in my house any day.

Not quite in this country! You are correct! At 210 sq meters (including garage), or about 2000 sq ft, our home is considered huge by most locals. 4000 sq ft for one family of four would just blow their minds -- and that is without a garage. It is an absolutely lovely old home that my sis and her husband have beautifully restored.
