Internet Woes

We have received the bad (but expected) news that we cannot get an ADSL connection.  It is good to know that we are not the only folks in need – Richard signed a petition at the local bar last night requesting more access in Lumignano. Not sure what will come of this.  I continue to prepare the posts at home and then quickly email them another place.  (Except for this one, of course.)

Today one of my senior students who is new to Italy told me that her family is suffering from the same fate in Camisano, a heavily populated “suburb” of Vicenza.  They just ran out of ADSL lines.  No more. Sorry.  Take a number.  We’ll get back to you in 6 months.

Imagine a 2.0 net generation social networking female teenager straight from the States not having Internet access.  Ouch.
