Is a house EVER really done?

Being a world away, I am a bit out of the loop on what is going on in the house. Yes, Richard gives me updates, but it's so much that I can't keep it straight. I often wonder if a house is ever completely "done."

The most important thing that we are currently waiting on is the drilling of the hole in the floor for the door lock. The next "big" project is the tile baseboard on the stairs leading from the taverna to the main floor. That will happen after we've moved in. And, the fire door separating the garage from the taverna has not been installed.

The electrician is not exactly finished, but almost. It is livable.
The plumber forgot one of the towel warmers. He didn't give me a spigot in the front. The water pressure is good.

The front yard is still mud. A guy will be by soon to assess and give an estimate to lay the concrete slab. (Ghiotto weaseled out of this -- though it was not included.)
The AC is not installed.

And then there's all the lights -- we have a few chandeliers, but we'll be busy collecting light fixtures.

And, of course, the bathrooms have no mirrors, no accessories.

Richard goes back to work next Wednesday; I start the following Wednesday.
