Gorgio Called

Giorgio just called, and since Richard is out playing tour guide with Emma, I had the conversation in Italian (see me swell with pride) with Giorgio.

1. He found another painter (relative of the guy who did the Veneziana) and wants Richard to meet with him tomorrow evening.

2. The windows and doors will be done starting July 14. The wood guy is ready to go as soon as this is done -- the same week.

3. Saturday (not sure which Saturday) the guy will install the iron railing for the stairs.

Hmmm......will we be moving in July? Maddy and I will be in the States at the end of the month, so I don't think so, but maybe, just maybe, we can get a move in before August 15.

There was a time in my life that this type of situation would have driven me absolutely crazy -- the uncertainty and change and not knowing. I would have needed to have better control of the situation. (Control freak? Me?)
Although, I've come to realize that the ultimate control is in being able to control my reactions to the things I can't control. Thus, not too much about this house process gets me too upset.
