Maddy is dying to get in the pool. I am dying to spend the day next to it with a good book. I'm reading Playing for Pizza by Grisham -- great summer reading.

Giorgio called. The caldia, or hot water heater, will be connected soon (this week) as the gas is finally being connected. Richard is still in Vicenza, but will be back here tomorrow with Emma, who he is presently picking up at the airport. Maddy is extremely excited to see cousin Emma -- who is actually about 12 years her senior.
