The Painter

A couple of weeks ago we met with the painter and selected some colors for the house. At the time we also agreed upon a price. Yesterday Richard received a call from the painter; he told Richard that since Ghiotto wanted him to rush the job and he wouldn't have time to add the coat of colored paint and he would have to come back for another trip later when things are in a more completed state and it would be more tedious. . . .then it's all going to cost more, quite a bit more. They have started the painting (in bright white) and will do two coats.

Imagine -- Ghiotto telling someone to "hurry." The irony. Do you think for a minute that Ghiotto has something else ready to start the day the painters finish? That adding two days to the painter's work will make a difference?
