Monday the finishing of the Veneziana started. The color in these photos is a bit lighter than the finished product -- which we should see by Friday. Perhaps this is a sign of things to come and the pace will pick up a bit.
While we were out at the site, we also met with the guy who is doing the wood on the stairs and the bedrooms. He told us that all of the wood and the hanging of the doors and putting in the baseboards should take less than a week. It is, however, the last thing done.
AND we were told that the tile work will start Tuesday. (Any bets?)
At any rate, it was a productive visit as we were able to iron out some details. Since Giorgio, Ghiotto's son, was there, we were able to have serious conversations about things.
