Walls are good. . . but the stairs?

Many details are unclear to us, and tonight we learned that perhaps it isn't all about the language barrier. The couple next door were surprised to learn (as were we) the plans for the "scala in legno." We all thought that the stairs would be covered in the same floor material of the floors of the "zona notte." Tonight we learned the contrary. Another company (besides the one doing the wood floors on the second floor) will be doing the stairs. Hmmmm.. . . . will it coordinate? Perhaps with what Ghiotto selected -- but we upgraded the floors. Hmmm.. . . perhaps the stairs will be covered now in pietra (a local stone). We need to go and take a look.
