Madelyn and Richard, along with a friendly neighbor who currently has the keys to the house (name unkonwn), are standing in the " cucina" area. There will be a small kitchen area here with room for a table. When done, the final flooring will actually be level with the windows / doors. We've opted for "pavimenti veneziana" -- but more on that later.
A note on the neighbor -- he isn't affiliated with the builder, but has been a great assest thus far. On our first visit to our house, he told us the nationality, marital status, occupation, and number of children of the people in each of the surrounding houses --all good things to know when considering purchasing a home. Whenever we drive up to the location (usually out of the blue), he is soon there to greet us. Security doesn't get better than that.
